In the heart of Renaissance Rome in a seventeenth-century palace
between Piazza Navona and the Vatican, in a pedestrian island, there is a
beautiful property consisting of an apartment of 400 square meters on two
levels, with two external courtyards of 40 square meters. It has a
prestigious main entrance, a sixteenth century portal by the Renaissance
architect Sangallo.
After an extraordinary architectural restoration of the halls and original
foundations of the Palace, Domus Domitia has been redesigned according
to the most contemporary design criteria, creating a modern, high-tech,
bright and elegant environment in every detail.
The property has been completely equipped down to every last detail in
order to enable the buyer to move in bringing only his own luggage.
Between the two levels of the residence, transparencies and reflections
reveal art objects and furniture from different eras emphasizing an
eclectic and intriguing mix. Each element has been chosen and set to
provide comfort at different times of the day.

This takes us to the Main Living Room.

The total white of the whole dwelling is interrupted here by the shades
of green and of the plum-colored sofa from the early decades of the
twentieth century that give movement and vivacity to moments of
Letters and words follow each other in various rooms. Here we see the logo of the house in a  bright panel in Latin characters, like the signs of the 80s nightclubs.
Two busts by a noted contemporary sculptor, are nestled in an illuminated niche, which visually unite the two levels.
A glass walkway leads to the night area, transmitting a continuous
There is a large wardrobe room with custom-made closets by the Italian company Poliform.
In the master bedroom there is a light panel, designed by a Russian artist, going back to Mayakosky with free form letters which reproduce the words from the song in Cinderella, “A dream is a wish your heart makes”.
The fabric lamps are futuristic creations by the artist Paola Napoleone.
From the master bedroom there is access to a courtyard with climbing plants, and a Roman basin discovered during the renovation of the building. Comfortable design armchairs with a table and a chaise longue are set up for guests to have a drink outside in a hidden corner in the heart of the capital.
The second bedroom, equally intimate as the first, with adjustable beds, is dominated by an impressive wooden headboard in soft colors of gray toile de jouy, also with an en suite bathroom.
Going down the crystal stairs there is a wellness area where you can relax on comfortable Bèrgeres, covered in terrycloth , after a hot hammam or a whirlpool bath in the adjacent tub.
A massage table, furnished with towels in soft tones, is situated in front of an intimate internal courtyard paved with white stones and relaxing green plants.
The dining room is located in the same airy and bright environment.  Behind a screen we are led into a pop atmosphere, a comfortable dining area with a ‘50’s bar sign in cursive letters inviting guests, in Latin, to enjoy the place.
The top of the table seems to be miraculously suspended on an inclined leg, and is surrounded by Philippe Starck Louis Ghost chairs and laid on a soft carpet in shades of taupe and beige.
Six bamboo canes in a vase of purplish transparencies and a ‘50s sideboard, defines the boundary of the dining area.
A hallway takes us into a studio where a double sofa bed can comfortably accommodate two guests.
Two double glass doors separate us from the large functional Varenna-design kitchen, equipped with every household appliance and complete with a Rosenthal porcelain service for 24, including cutlery and tea and coffee services of Sambonet.
In addition to all the tableware and linens, there are American place settings and runner set.
Nearby is the laundry room, with washer and dryer, iron and ironing board.
The Domus is equipped with bed linens for 12 from the classic Roman company Tebro, with satin sheets of pure white cotton, duvets and duvet covers, bedside rugs, mattress covers and mattress topper, goose down pillows and aloe vera cushions.
The bathroom sets, in Egyptian terrycloth cotton and 100% cotton bath towels, are composed of 5 different sizes of towels, plus the shower mats, bathrobes and slippers in terrycloth.
From the kitchen, a sliding glass door leads to the service staff area, consisting of two bedrooms and two bathrooms; a large closet, a wardrobe and a small built-in closet.
Adjacent to this area are the technical rooms.
This area can also be accessed from the second entrance of the house.
